Recognizing the interconnectedness of health, nutrition, environment, and economic security, we promote sustainable agricultural practices that improve food security, generate income, and protect natural resources.
In partnership with Nutrition Promotion and Consultancy Service (NPCS), we implement the Eco-Garden Project in urban and rural communities across Nepal.

Launched June 2025 in Talku Village, Dakshinkali Municipality, working with 50 households to promote nutrition and sustainable livelihoods through eco-friendly organic farming.
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable livelihoods and eco-friendly farming, Project Propel Nepal successfully distributed essential seeds and gardening tools to participants of the Dakshinkali Eco Garden program.
The training session saw enthusiastic engagement from local farmers, who shared their growing interest in organic gardening methods and innovative approaches to sustainable agriculture.
Each participant received key resources to support environmentally responsible farming practices, including:
Two 100-liter drums
Effective Microorganisms (EM) and Trichoderma solutions for soil health
2-meter white plastic sheet for garden use
A composite seed packet containing 10 varieties of seasonal seeds
The session achieved an impressive turnout, with 45 out of 50 participants (95%) present. An agricultural specialist also led the training, providing valuable knowledge, practical guidance, and ideas to strengthen organic farming techniques within the community.
We are grateful for the active participation and dedication shown by the farmers, and we look forward to supporting them as they build healthier, more sustainable food systems.
Project Propel, in collaboration with the Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG), conducted a two-day Nutrition Awareness Training in Ward-8 of Dakshinkali Municipality to strengthen mothers’ knowledge of nutrition and its importance for maternal and child health. Using interactive methods such as songs, stories, games, and practical demonstrations, the training covered key topics including diversified diets, breastfeeding, complementary feeding, and WASH in a relatable and engaging way. With active participation from 50 women, the sessions fostered open dialogue, confidence, and a strong sense of empowerment, enabling participants to make healthier choices for their families. Overall, the training achieved high engagement and improved nutrition awareness, laying a foundation for continued collaboration and long-term community well-being.
