Who Is Project Propel Nepal?

Established in December 2023 by a dynamic team of women academicians and development professionals, Project Propel is a national NGO dedicated to enhancing community well-being across Nepal through holistic, integrated interventions.

With a head office in Maryland, USA, and active operations in seven districts; Gulmi, Dolakha, Chitwan, Rautahat, Kathmandu,Bhaktapur and Lalitpur, the organization delivers high-impact programs in healthcare, education, nutrition, and sustainable livelihoods.
Our mission encompasses infrastructure development, biodiversity conservation, and gender empowerment, all supported by a professional team of 25 experts committed to transparency, rigorous data evaluation, and the capacity building of local organizations to ensure long-term, sustainable growth.

Our Ethos

Project Propel is driven by five core values:

LISTENING

Deep listening involves giving audience to those systematically overlooked by the broader society. Through listening we better understand their unique struggles, setting the stage for a holistic & collaborative approach to development.

RESPECT

We maintain that we are visitors to remote or marginalized communities that are often ‘off the beaten path’. We respectfully enter communities, tread gently alongside community members, and seek to always uphold dignity in every interaction.

SUSTAINABILITY

We promote lasting change over immediate fixes. Sustainability is considered in all stages of program development. This is possible through education, strong local partnerships and empowering community leaders.

LOVE

We truly enjoy and deeply care for the work we do and the relationships we build with communities. Project Propel operates by love. To us, this means practicing kindness, compassion, and genuine concern for the good of one another and our environment!

EMPOWERMENT

We believe communities already hold strength and solutions within them. Our role is to support, uplift, and equip local leaders so change comes from within and lasts for generations.
